We also use standard end-caps, which makes life a lot easier for the techs in the field when they need a quick replacement.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The catch: Managing the meltdown&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Here&amp;rsquo;s the thing: when you pack that much heat into a small space, the surrounding gear feels it.&#xA;If you put a 500W tube into a 150mm space, your housing is going to soak up all that energy. If you use cheap materials, your frame will warp. You&amp;rsquo;ve got to use heat-resistant alloys or ceramic spacers to keep everything straight.&#xA;And please, use high-temp leads for the wiring. If a wire touches that quartz envelope, the insulation will melt in minutes. Keep it tight, but give the tube enough room to breathe.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
